OptSpot

October 2026

We changed how our team works. Here's why it matters for you.

We've reorganized our entire client success team. This page explains what changed, why we made the decision, and what you can expect going forward. Levi recorded a short video walking through all of it.

We know you have more important things to do than become a POS expert. You're running a car wash business. The technology should work for you, and the people helping you set it up should already know how it works inside your system. We've been inside this industry long enough to know exactly how frustrating it is when that isn't the case.

Why we made this change

POS systems got more complex. Our support had to match.

Point-of-sale systems have gotten more complex over the last few years. Every platform does things differently, and they keep changing. Asking one account manager to stay current across five different POS systems isn't realistic anymore. It slows things down and creates gaps that none of us want.

We've always taken pride in our support. We want to make sure that holds as the industry grows. So we built something that actually scales with it.

What actually changed

Your Head Coach leads a team built around your system.

We reorganized our entire client success team so that every Head Coach and their team works exclusively with one point-of-sale system. Here's the practical difference.

Before

  • One account manager spread across multiple POS systems
  • Support team shared across all account managers
  • Relearning your setup every time something came up
  • Slower execution when POS-specific issues hit

Now

  • A Head Coach dedicated to your POS only
  • Their own team behind them, all in your POS every day
  • Deep familiarity with your setup from day one
  • Faster resolution from people who have already seen the problem

Your Head Coach is not sharing a support team with other account managers anymore. They have their own people. All of them work inside your POS every day. The experience your team builds on one account makes them better on yours.

Better support

Faster execution

Fewer mistakes

Proactive strategy

Scope

What this is. What this isn't.

What this is

  • A team that specializes in how OptSpot's marketing platform integrates with your point-of-sale system
  • Experts in setting up and maintaining the connection between OptSpot and your POS so campaigns run correctly
  • A team that stays on top of changes in your POS that affect how OptSpot works inside it
  • People who see what's working for other car washes on your same system and bring those strategies to you
  • Dedicated support for your marketing integration, campaign setup, and ongoing account results

What this isn't

  • Your POS provider's tech support. If your point-of-sale system has a technical issue, that goes to your POS provider directly.
  • General IT support for your car wash's technology stack
  • A replacement for your POS vendor's own support team
  • A one-size-fits-all solution. What your team can do depends on how deeply OptSpot integrates with your specific POS system.

04 — Where we stand on AI

A lot of companies right now are replacing account managers with AI. We're going the other direction.

We use AI as a tool to help our team work better. But there's no substitute for a real person who knows your business, understands your goals, and has to answer for the results. When something goes wrong, your Head Coach is accountable. An AI isn't. That's not a small thing when your car wash's marketing is on the line.

We've invested in 47 real people because we believe that's how good support actually works.

Your Head Coach is not working alone

Every team shares what they know.

Even though each team specializes in one POS, they don't work in a silo. All of our Head Coaches meet together every week to go over accounts, share what's working across the board, and work through any issues together.

That means your Head Coach brings more than their own experience to your account. They bring what the whole team knows.

If your account is transitioning to a new Head Coach: your current account manager will be in that weekly room alongside your new Head Coach every week. Your account stays in the conversation through the whole transition.

If your account is moving to a new team

We built this transition differently.

We know some of you have been through account manager transitions before, and it didn't always go smoothly. We're not pretending that didn't happen. Here's how we built this one differently.

  1. 1

    No cold handoffs

Your current account manager doesn't step back the moment you read this. They stay involved while your new Head Coach gets fully up to speed on your account.

  2. 2

    Active projects get finished

Anything in progress right now gets completed before the transition moves forward. Nothing gets dropped.

  3. 3

Your new Head Coach introduces themselves first

They'll reach out personally before they take the lead, so you know who they are and they understand your goals.

  4. 4

    Both coaches stay in contact

Your current account manager and your new Head Coach meet weekly with the full team. Your account history doesn't disappear in the handoff.

Your team. Your system. Built to move.

We built OptSpot to give car wash operators real support from real people who know their business. This change is us getting better at that. If you have questions about your account, reply to the email that brought you here or reach out to your team directly.
